THE GOLDEN STATE OF MIND
Located at the center of California's Golden Coast, Golden wines are grown and produced at Folktale Winery in Monterey County, California. We believe Monterey County is one of the world's outstanding Chardonnay and Pinot Noir growing regions. With the perfect cool climate, warm days, and strong maritime influence, Monterey wines stand out with lush tropical and stone fruit with notes of spice, minerality, and bright acidity.
As a family-owned, boutique winery, our focus is on making wines we enjoy drinking and on how those wines are made. Our estate vineyards are certified Systainable in Practice (SIP®) and we never use any additives in our wines. As a small producer, we craft every Golden wine by hand with the utmost attention and care. Our vision for Golden is to make a wine that captures the uniqueness of each vintage and the unique growing region, but without the expensive price tag.
We recommend paring our coastal wines with coastal cuisine. Our region is very Mediterranean with fresh seafood and an abundance of produce. What we refer to as California cuisine is heavily influenced by Italian, French, Spanish, and Asian cooking. Enjoy!
